Can you remove just one item?

Yes. You can request a single-item pickup as well as a larger cleanout. Send the item, location and access details for a quote; there is no published flat price for every item.

Do items have to be on the curb?

No. Tell us where the items are, including stairs, gates, elevators and long carry distances. The access and labor are included in the agreed scope and quote.

Does junk removal take tires?

No. Tires have their own route under California's Tire Recycling Act. City of Los Angeles residents can drop off up to four tires a year at a LASAN yard at no charge; details are in what junk removal can't take. Tell us if tires are in the pile so we can plan around them.

Does junk removal take clothes, boxes and cardboard?

Yes. Bagged clothing, boxes of household goods and flattened cardboard are ordinary cleanout contents. Set aside anything you want to keep or donate yourself before we arrive.

Can I put paint or chemicals in the junk pile?

No. Keep paint, fuel, chemicals and other special waste separate. Ask your local waste program which collection option accepts the material before taking it anywhere.

Furniture: sofas, chairs, tables, dressers, desks, bed frames and patio furniture.
Mattresses and box springs: include the size and any condition concerns.
Appliances: refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves and similar household appliances.
House and property cleanouts: boxes, household goods and unwanted contents from rooms, garages and yards.
Storage units: unwanted contents, with facility access and authorization arranged before pickup.
Commercial spaces: office furniture, shelving and other agreed cleanout items.

Confirm These Before Pickup

Concrete, brick, dirt and other dense debris can reach a vehicle's weight limit before it fills the truck. Send photos and an approximate quantity; these loads need a specific quote.

For sheds, fences, hot tubs and other light demolition, discuss dimensions, access and utility connections. Structural demolition and specialized remediation are outside the normal junk removal scope.

For electronics, scrap metal, cardboard and other recyclables, describe the materials and condition. Also disclose pests, contamination, sharp objects or leaking items before a visit.

What Does Not Belong In A Normal Junk Load?

We do not accept paint, solvents, motor oil, fuel, pesticides, propane tanks, asbestos, ammunition, explosives, medical waste or biohazard waste in an ordinary junk removal load. Keep these separate and ask about the appropriate collection route.

Household hazardous waste programs have their own acceptance rules. They do not necessarily accept every item on this list, and resident programs may not accept business waste. Check the specific program before transporting anything.
