1. Send Photos That Show The Whole Job
Take a wide photo of each room, pile or storage unit, then close-ups of large or unusual items. A picture of the front of a packed garage may not show what is behind it. Explain anything hidden from view.
Include your city or ZIP, preferred day and any deadline. Mention heavy debris, electronics, appliances, sharp objects or condition concerns. Check accepted items and special handling before mixing everything into one pile.
2. Decide What Stays
Separate or clearly label keepsakes, documents, keys, valuables and anything that belongs to someone else. For a house cleanout, walk through each room and agree on what is being removed.
If you are arranging a removal for a relative, tenant, estate or business, resolve permission to remove the belongings before the appointment. For a heavy-accumulation cleanout, tell us about the sorting priorities and any areas that should remain untouched.
3. Plan Access, Not Heavy Lifting
Tell us the floor number, whether there is a working elevator, and how far the items are from a parking or loading spot. Explain narrow stairs, tight turns, gates and locked doors.
In an apartment or condo, ask the property manager about elevator reservations, loading areas and pickup hours. At a storage facility, confirm gate access and any facility rules. Do not move heavy furniture or disconnect gas, water or electrical connections just to prepare; discuss the setup with us first.
4. Confirm The Scope And Price
A photo quote helps plan the job. The final price is confirmed after reviewing the items and access, before loading starts. If you add another room or more debris, ask for the revised price before that additional work begins.
Junk removal pricing depends on volume, weight and the labor needed to remove the items. There is no universal price for every couch, garage or storage unit.
5. Do A Final Walk-Through
Point out everything that is going and anything staying nearby. Keep children and pets away from the work route. Before the visit ends, check the agreed rooms or areas and confirm that the intended items have been removed.
