Make A Plan For That Unwanted Shed

An old backyard shed can be a structure-removal job, a contents cleanout, or both. Send photos to S&M Trash Junkers so we can review the setup, discuss what should stay and confirm whether it fits our light-demolition scope.

Contents Only, Or The Shed Itself?

Start by saying whether you want the stored belongings hauled away, the shed removed, or both. Set aside tools, keepsakes and equipment you are keeping before authorizing removal. Photos of the interior help us understand how much is inside.

If the structure stays, ask about a contents-only cleanout. If the structure goes, include its approximate length, width and height, and tell us whether it appears to be wood, metal or a manufactured plastic shed.

Show The Whole Structure And The Route Out

Take photos from safe, accessible positions; do not enter or climb onto a damaged shed to get a better picture. Include the surrounding fence, nearby buildings, trees, gate width and the route to the loading area.

Tell us whether the shed is freestanding, attached to another structure or mounted on a concrete slab. A small freestanding shed is a different scope from an attached building. Review our light demolition service and call before assuming a particular structure can be removed.

Utilities And Condition Must Be Discussed First

Describe any electrical wiring, plumbing or other connections. Do not disconnect utilities or start pulling the structure apart to prepare for a quote. Any required utility work should be arranged with an appropriately qualified professional.

Flag unstable sections, suspected hazardous materials, chemicals or pest concerns before scheduling. Ordinary removal is not specialized remediation. Scope, site requirements and any necessary preparations need review before work is agreed.

Decide What Happens To The Base And Nearby Items

Shed removal does not automatically include a concrete slab, foundation, fence, landscaping or new surface installation. List those separately so the quote makes clear what is included and what will remain. Include loose shelving and other agreed debris in the removal list.

Size, materials, access, contents and dismantling work affect the price. Call or text (442) 414-3483 with photos and your city in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside or Orange County. We will discuss the setup and confirm the scope and price before work starts.

Questions

Make A Plan For That Unwanted Shed FAQ

Can you empty my shed without taking it down?

Ask for a contents-only cleanout and identify the belongings that should go. Explain any access or condition concerns before booking; the shed itself can be excluded from the removal scope.

Is concrete slab removal included?

Not automatically. The shed, stored contents, slab and surrounding structures are separate scope decisions. Ask about any additional work before accepting a quote.

What should I send for a shed removal quote?

Send your city, approximate shed dimensions, construction material, photos of the structure and access route, and a description of utility connections and what stays. Do not enter an unsafe shed to take photos.
